OSSA works closely with Cambridge Perioperative Partnership, a group of consultant anaesthetists with world class expertise in anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, and critical care and who have an enviable record in safety and patient centred outcomes.
All of our consultant anaesthetist colleagues hold substantive appointments at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and honorary appointments at the School of Clinical Medicine of the University of Cambridge, each is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
Prior to surgery OSSA and CPP consultants work closely together to ensure that each patient receives individualised, evidence based anaesthesia and peri-operative care allowing optimal pain relief and early mobilisation. Following the operation our anaesthetic colleagues are in regular contact with the surgeons, nursing staff, and patients to make certain that the post-operative pathway runs smoothly.
